  • The proposed work partitions the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) into several disjointed clusters to achieve higher efficiency for data collection. The cluster head is elected for each set and it is in charge of the data gathering and routing process. Such a partition is balanced and effective, if the distance between each node and its cluster head can be bounded within a constant number of hops. Minimum number of clusters and connectors between cluster heads is modeled as Minimum Connected d-Hop Dominating Set (d-MCDS) problem. The proposed work solves this issue by proposing the distributed approximation named CS-Cluster.
