  • An energy efficient algorithm is proposed considering allocation of boundary nodes, removing clashes among clusters while distributing nodes thereby reducing overall energy consumption in the network as compared to LEACH (Low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy)and EE-LEACH-MIMO (Energy Efficient LEACH multiple-input- multi-output) schemes. The selection of the cluster head is done on the basis of residual energy of nodes in a cluster as done in LEACH.

The distance between the sink node and each cluster head is calculated. The sensor node chooses the cluster head which has the minimum distance to the sink node and joins with that and transmits data.
