  • Examining the network with the use of packet sniffing software in mobile wireless network is an effective solution to identify the source of attack. Existing protocols lack in differentiating the connectivity loss or shutting down of nodes due to malicious activities and other network issues like energy loss and mobility. The proposed packet sniffers can be extremely useful to detect and analyze traffic to differentiate the malicious activities from normal routing failures and to limit their harmful consequences.
