  • The proposed mobile cloud computing model Hybrid Local Mobile Cloud Model (HLMCM) can select the applications with maximum profit and minimum energy consumption, when the load of the system is heavy. HLMCM consists of a Cloudlet and a set of mobile devices. In HLMCM, the mobile devices collaborate with the Cloudlet to provide service. The clients offload part or full of their applications to the Cloudlet and they can provide service for other devices’ mobile applications. The Cloudlet executes the application scheduling algorithm to offload the applications to a few mobile devices that are willing to provide resources. The mobile devices handle the applications received and send their results to the Cloudlet. The Cloudlet sends the results of the applications from the mobile devices to the clients.

A very effective way to do this is by using the concept of server virtualization and each application is packaged to run on its own virtual machine, these are in turn mapped to physical machines.
