  • Routing in mobile ad hoc networks uses multiple-hop routing protocols which are able to maintain paths to other nodes and in most cases to handle changes in paths due to mobility. The basic principle behind multipath routing protocol is to provide load balancing in the network. Since a packet travels in a network in a multi-hop fashion, it is imperative to keep a mobile node operative as long as possible. With an effort to conserve more energy of the network and hence to increase its lifetime, energy efficient AOMDV, (E-AOMDV) is proposed.
