  • In focus of achieving secure routing and increase the network lifetime, this work propose a routing protocol called as Cost-Aware SEcure Routing (CASER). The proposed CASER protocol follows the two routing strategies for message forwarding: 1) shortest path message forwarding and 2) secure message forwarding. It also balanced the energy consumption of the entire sensor network so that the lifetime of theWSNs can be maximized.
