  • Two effective mechanisms are proposed to allocate the available bandwidth of a WMN operator to those customers who are willing to pay the higher price for satisfying their bandwidth demand. First the allocation mechanism is formulated as a combinatorial auction, which guarantees that all customers reveal their real valuation of the required bandwidth. Then a greedy algorithm is proposed that finds efficient allocations in polynomial time even for large-scale, real network scenarios while maintaining the truthfulness property.
