  • An energy-efficient cooperative relaying scheme is proposed which extends network lifetime while guaranteeing the success rate. The optimal transmission schedule of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is formulated to minimise the maximum (min-max) energy consumption under guaranteed bit error rates. Also a suboptimal algorithm is developed by decoupling energy balancing and rate adaptation, and performing these two parts in an alternating manner.
