  • The proposed algorithm mitigating the hot spot problem and increasing the lifetime of the network. It is a distributed unequal clustering algorithm, where cluster heads are selected with high residual energy of each sensor nodes and distance from the base station. To preserve more energy for each sensor, the cluster heads are not elected periodically. It can be re-elected based on some constraints to avoid frequent re-election of cluster head.
