Main Reference PaperOn the Performance Impact of Data Access Middleware for NoSQL Data Stores, IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, 2016 [Java/Hadoop].
  • This work addresses the problem of migrating the data to different NoSQL data stores. It employs a middleware platform to achieve portability and easy migration across NoSQL storage systems. This work also shows that trade-off between performance overhead and migration cost. The performance overhead of the middleware platforms is investigated using CRUD operations and cost of migration across Cassandra and MongoDB databases.

+ Description
  • This work addresses the problem of migrating the data to different NoSQL data stores. It employs a middleware platform to achieve portability and easy migration across NoSQL storage systems. This work also shows that trade-off between performance overhead and migration cost. The performance overhead of the middleware platforms is investigated using CRUD operations and cost of migration across Cassandra and MongoDB databases.

  • To evaluate the  performance overhead and cost migration across NoSql data stores.

  • To investigate the performance overhead for the insert, read, update and delete operations.
