  • The ability of RSS-Gossip AODV to handle different node mobility speeds in faded and non-faded environments is investigated. The performance of RSS-Gossip AODV is evaluated by varying node mobility speed. It is evident from the experimental results that in both non faded and Rician faded scenarios, RSS-Gossip AODV outperforms conventional AODV in term of packet delivery ratio, throughput, delay and link breakages and at the same time it tries to minimize the broadcast storm problem by flooding lesser number of route request (RREQ) messages.
