  • The Fuzzy Trust Relationship Perspective-based Prevention Mechanism (FTRPPM) is suggested in MANETs to mitigate the impact of Vampire attacks on the routing performance. It utilizes the measures of fuzzy trust relationship as associative trust and associative reputation of mobile nodes to detect the attackers. On the basis of quantified level of probability factor, the threshold for attack detection is dynamically updated. This improves the detection accuracy rate of FTRPPM effectively.
