  • To efficiently mitigate the routing misbehaviors in dynamic source routing, an Explore-Based Active Detection Scheme (EBAD) is suggested for MANETs. To detect the malicious nodes, the EBAD enables the source node to broadcast a route request packet with a fictitious destination node. When the potential malicious nodes reply to a sender with a fake route reply packet, they are detected as attackers. Moreover, when the intermediate node fails to decrypt the received route reply packet, the routing misbehavior can be detected.

Description
