  • A smart model is proposed to identify the unlicensed taxis. The proposed model named data-driven intelligent transportation systems (D2 ITS). It consists of two components, such as candidate selection model(CSM) and candidate refined model (CRM). A CSM extracts a coarse-grained suspected unlicensed taxi candidate list according to vehicle’s features, such as vehicle type, vehicle activity level during a day. This candidate list is subsequently used as input for CRM to get a fine-grained suspected unlicensed taxi candidate list.
