  • This work presents a semantic-aware malware detection tool (SWORD) by exploring the semantics of the android applications. The semantic-based analysis strengthens malware detection towards the injection based evasion techniques. The proposed approach exploits the Markov chain to build a Sequential System call Graph (SSG) to represent the program behavior. By employing the Asymptotic Equipartition Property (AEP), the SWORD detects the android malware along with the analysis of the system-calls sequence.
