Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is a novel imaging modality that uses various static and oscillating magnetic fields to image the spatial distribution of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIOs) with high sensitivity, no tissue background, and no ionizing radiation.
