To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program in Computer Science at Tohoku University in Sendai City, Japan, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Applicants hold a master-s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field from an authorized institution
Applicants have a strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Applicants whose first language is not English must submit evidence of English proficiency via one of the following tests: TOEFL, IELTS, or TOEIC with minimum scores as follows:
• TOEFL: 79 (iBT), 550 (PBT), or 213 (CBT)
• IELTS: 6.0
• TOEIC: 730
