PhD Admission Procedure for Computer Science -University of Oklahoma

  To apply for PhD computer science at the University of Oklahoma, the following requirements are needed
  •  Applicants must hold a bachelor-s degree or the equivalent from an authorized college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  •  Applicants must submit a copy of their transcripts from each college previously studied.
  •  International applicants for those English is not a primary language must attach official TOEFL or IELTS score results. The minimum score requirements of TOEFL are 550 for the paper-based test (PBT) or 213 for the computerized test (CPT), and 80 for internet based test (IBT) required for admission to the graduate program. Alternatively, the minimum score for IELTS is 6.5.
  •  The GRE General Exam result is not required but recommended for PhD applicants in CS.

  •  Three letters of recommendation are required to evaluate the applicant-s potential for PhD graduate study.
  •  Applicants must submit a statement of purpose with a limit of 250 words, indicating their goals, expectations, and reasons for PhD graduate study in computer science
