PhD Research Guidance in Software Defined Networks
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is emerged as a trend in various networks in the aspect of developing more reliable communication, improving the data flow controlling, and offering security simply and flexibly. The SDN can be integrated with other networks to ease network management, even with dynamic connectivity across network nodes. It attempts to solve the problems of such networks and their security. Hence, the SDN offers the best solutions for data confidentiality and integrity. Therefore, it urges SDN research more in various applications and networks, especially in the internet of things, WSN, cloud, and so on, and analyzes its prospects in the context of network security. The SDN integrated with other networks is named a hybrid SDN. The integration of SDN with traditional networking protocols enhances different functions on a network. Moreover, it can be integrated with other technologies, such as blockchain, machine learning, and deep learning models in order to improve the efficiency of hybrid SDN. Recently, integrating SDN with other networks and technologies for efficient and secure communication has been an ongoing research topic in SDN.
