In recent years, Software Defined Networks (SDN) has been an ever-increasing topic of research that attracted a considerable amount of attention from several fields such as industry, education, and many others. SDN decouples the control plane from the data plane and provides centralized network control. Due to its dynamic, manageable, and cost-effective features, it plays a significant role in complex applications, which paves the way for effectively virtualizing and managing the network resources in an on-demand manner. Compared to conventional networking, SDN has several advantages and offers great opportunities to increase efficiency reduce costs and complexity. Despite that, SDN has a few major research challenge issues such as Quality of Service (QoS), Load Balancing (LB), Security, and Scalability.
