Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
This project aims to design and detect malicious packet-dropping attacks in the RPL-based internet of things using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. This project presents a novel detection method for malicious packet dropping attacks against RPL-based networks.
2. The proposed method is based on the anomaly intrusion detection system and detects malicious packet dropping in the presence of normal packet losses.
3. The evaluation results show that the method performs well in detecting malicious packet dropping attacks.
Performance Evalution:
This project evaluates the performance of the method on Contiki-s network simulator, Cooja, with various network sizes (25 and 50) in 5% of attacker nodes.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
