Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools and Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirements:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
This project aims to design and evaluate cooperative interactions between multiple RPL instances in wireless sensor networks using a contiki-cooja simulator.
Contributions:
1. This project proposes a novel approach (Cooperative-RPL) that coordinates the RPL Instances to form energy-efficient coalitions according to their objective functions and network conditions.
2. To propose a mechanism to evaluate fairness in networks with multiple RPL Instances.
3. It evaluates the distribution of the existing network resources to address each instance-s different, and sometimes contradictory, objective function.
Performance Evaluation:
The simulation scenario considers 60 sensing nodes randomly deployed in a 100 × 100 m2. The information they collect is gathered at the sink node, located in the middle of the sensing area.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
