Aim and Objectives:  
The main objective of the project is to design and evaluation of DIS flooding attack mitigation in RPL-based 6LoWPAN networks using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:  
1. The project aims to mitigate the effects of DIS flooding attacks in RPL-based 6LoWPAN networks.
2. This project proposes a defense mechanism to be implemented and verified using Contiki-s Cooja-based simulation environment.
3. The solution proposed in this project restores the lost efficiency of RPL in terms of control packet overhead and power consumption after attack recovery.
Performance Evalution:  
To assess the performance of the proposed mitigation scheme in a dynamic network, a simulation grid of size 200 m × 200m containing 16 nodes is proposed. The mobility behavior of nodes is simulated by using a random waypoint mobility model.
