Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:   Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:  This project focuses on the design and performance analysis of reliable energy-aware routing protocols in delay-tolerant mobile sensor networks in IoT using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. This project proposes a reliable energy-aware routing protocol called RER.
2. To ensure the reliability of message transmission, a hop-by-hop retransmission acknowledgment mechanism is introduced in the RER.
3. To design a metric called Reliable Energy Cost Based on Distance (RECBD) to aid RER, which is determined by analyzing the distance between the current node and the relay node, the distance between the relay node and the sink node, the current residual energy of the current node, and the link quality.
Performance Evalution:
In the simulation environment, there are 50 sensor nodes randomly and evenly deployed on a disk with a radius centered at the sink in the cooja simulator.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Latency
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
• Network Lifetime
