Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
To develop a routing protocol for the internet of things using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. A routing protocol for IoT that is capable of discovering and maintaining Point-to-Point, MultiPoint-to-Point and Point-to-MultiPoint data forwarding paths, and the protocol is capable of better handling the LLN challenges at the networking layer.
2. To implement a multi-gateway communication architecture.
3. The experimental results analyze the impact of radio duty cycling (RDC), the number of gateways and mobility on different IoT routing protocols.
Performance Evalution:
In this project, simulation experiments were performed using Cooja, an emulator that uses real programming code for a wireless sensor node. In the simulations, 75 wireless sensor nodes were placed in a grid network topology that spans an area of 100×100 m2. To analyze the impact of the number of gateways on the protocol-s performance.
