Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools and Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirements:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
This project focuses on developing congestion-aware RPL for 6L0WPAN networks in IoT using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contributions:
1. The main contribution of the project is to propose a novel RPL objective function called Congestion-Aware Objective Function (CA-OF).
2. The proposed objective function works efficiently when congestion occurs by selecting less congested paths.
3. This project simulation results show that CA-OF improves performance in the presence of congestion
Performance Evaluation:
The proposed objective function has been tested and evaluated on two different network scenarios through simulation. The two networks were chosen to demonstrate performance on a small network of 25 nodes and a larger network of 50.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Packet Loss
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
