Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
This project aims to provide a novel objective function for RPL routing protocol in IoT to increase network lifetime using the cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. This work creates a new OF is proposed which includes three metrics for routing task.
2. A new metric named Number of Children and Siblings(NOCS) has been introduced to select the parent that has a minimum value of the number of children and siblings
3. Weights of new metrics are dynamically adjusted, meaning they change during the RPL algorithm-s run-time.
Performance Evalution:
This project has considered 20 nodes in an area of 100 m * 100m randomly using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Throughput
• CPU Energy Consumption
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• Delay
• Energy Consumption
