Cloud containers facilitate the cloud service providers to decide how the containerized applications are configured, deployed, and maintained in cloud computing environments. Resource provisioning within a cloud environment has been a major research topic in cloud computing. Machine learning-based container technologies have been leveraged in cloud computing environments for resource efficiency, load balance, and energy efficiency.
Existing machine learning algorithms facilitate reducing energy costs through resource provisioning in the cloud environment. Though, Deep reinforcement learning (DRL), a combination of deep learning (DL) and reinforcement learning (RL), has been attracted great impact in resource provisioning of cloud computing because DRL in container-based cloud environment minimizes the energy cost for large-scale Cloud Service providers with a very large number of servers and produces low runtime with fast convergence.
