With the exponential growth of digital technologies, digital forensics is a discipline that deals with retrieving, examining, and analyzing the digital evidence of information from digital devices to prove criminal activity. It is a multi-staged process that involves identifying relevant digital evidence, evidence acquisition, evidence examination, evidence analysis, and evidence documenting and reporting.
Digital forensics has gained a great impact in multiple domains, including forensic science, law, ethics, computer science and engineering, information science, among others.
