A Novel Approach for the ITS Application to Prevent Accidents using Wireless Sensor Network, IoT and VANET - 2019

A Novel Approach for the ITS Application to Prevent Accidents using Wireless Sensor Network, IoT and VANET

Research Area:  Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

Abstract:

The accidents are growing in the cities due uneven management of traffic, faulty roads, speedy vehicle, avoidance of traffic rules, mismanagement of vehicles etc. The paper gives brief review and novel approach for the application of Intelligent Transportation System an accident alert system using wireless sensor network, Internet of Things and VANET. The novel approach can be implemented for smart cities to prevent the accidents along the roadside or in the construction area. Usually it is observed that most of the time when there is huge traffic at construction site in city, more accidents are caused. So in order to avoid such hazardous environment many models, framework are implemented. The internet of things, wireless sensor network and VANET can be used in order to prevent the collision of vehicles, alarm notification and traffic avoidance at construction area. The application of ITS i.e. accident alert, vehicle detection and traffic evaluation at construction site or in the urban areas are considered as major study. This paper gives the brief literature study of different models proposed for traffic evaluation, vehicle detection, accident alert, traffic monitoring. The accident alert, vehicle detection and traffic monitoring can be evaluated using the novel algorithms proposedin this paper.
