Recent research on secure data dissemination methods in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) has focused on enhancing data integrity, confidentiality, and resilience against malicious attacks while ensuring energy efficiency and scalability. Modern techniques integrate blockchain technology to establish decentralized trust and prevent data tampering, while AI-driven frameworks are used to detect anomalies and classify malicious nodes during data propagation. Trust management models and cryptographic schemes, such as lightweight encryption and key distribution mechanisms, are being optimized for constrained sensor nodes. Hybrid approaches that combine authentication, authorization, and adaptive routing are also gaining attention to ensure that data dissemination remains secure, efficient, and reliable in dynamic and large-scale WSN environments.
