Aim and Objectives:  To develop a design of High-Performing RPL with Scalable Routing Based on Meaningful MAC Addressing in IoT using Contiki-Cooja Simulator.

Contribution:  
1. The main Contribution of this project is to calculate the convergence time and the number of control messages exchanged per node in the network.
2. To calculate the objective function is to set at least one Hierarchical Local MAC (HLMAC) address per node to consolidate a hierarchy. This HLMAC will substitute the default meaningless MAC addresses of the nodes.
3. To evaluate the operation using performance metrics such as hop count, latency and robustness of the nodes.

Performance Evalution:  The implementation of the project in Contiki-NG/Contiki was performed using the Cooja sensor network simulator and hardware Sky motes with varying network sizes, such as 15, 30, and 45 nodes.
