Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
This project focuses on designing and analyzing parent-based RPL for energy-efficient clusters with enhanced performance levels for low power lossy networks using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. This project considers energy consumption and the lossy nature of wireless links, which can efficiently prolong the lifetime of networks and improve network reliability.
2. This project proposes an energy model and a channel model, which consider the impact of overhearing and capability of transceivers on the packet reception rate.
3. This work develops an adaptive priority updating scheme for balancing the workload in a lossy environment.
Performance Evalution:
In the network Scenario, 60 nodes are uniformly distributed in a square area (100m × 100m). The root is placed in the center of the network. The simulation time is 180 seconds.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
