Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools and Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirements:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
To develop a project for design and evaluation to mitigate black hole attacks in routing protocol for low power and lossy networks in IoT using a contiki-cooja simulator.
Contributions:
1. This project proposes a mitigation technique against black hole attacks with low packet loss and reliability.
2. The proposed technique consists of a local decision and a global verification process.
3. This work demonstrates that the proposed approach increases packet delivery rate significantly and detects black hole attacks effectively.
Performance Evaluation:
To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, intensive simulations were performed under various scenarios(30 and 60) with 5% of attacker nodes using the Contiki3.0 operating system and its simulator Cooja.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
