Contiki Cooja Simulator Projects in RPL Routing Protocol
Tools Languages:  Contiki-Cooja / Contiki NG simulator, Front End: Java, Back End: C
Software Requirement:  Vmware workstation player, Instant Contiki-3.0
Aim and Objectives:
The main objective of the project is to design and improvement of RPL analysis for packet drop attacks in IoT using the contiki-cooja simulator.
Contribution:
1. This project demonstrates that the RPL implementation in Contiki OS allows an external attacker to drop packets continuously at the targeted router without triggering any rerouting for network recovery.
2. This work evaluates the performance of our enhanced RPL under packet drop attacks using the cooja simulator.
Performance Evalution:
This work considers a network consisting of 50 Tmote Sky nodes randomly distributed in a 100m × 100m rectangle area. This work evaluates three different timeout parameters, namely 5 mins, 10 mins, and 20 mins.
Performance Metrics:
• PDR
• Packet Loss Rate
• Energy Consumption
• Throughput
• Delay
• Control Packet Overhead
• Execution Time
• CPU Energy Consumption
