Load balancing is one of the prominent issues in Cloud computing since the imbalanced resources in the Cloud increase the makespan, energy consumption and decrease the utilization of resources.

To cope up with this constraint, most of the approaches migrates VMs from the imbalanced resources to the other resources until it reaches the balanced state without any interruption. An effective VM migration is achieved through the proper VM selection and VM placement techniques.
