HBase is a columnar database in which entire data are stored in the column of the tables. The data stored in the HBase can be manipulated using the MapReduce framework. HBase contains three components: a master node is called as HMaster and multiple Region Servers are called as HRegionServer and the multiple tables are stored in a Region.
