Smart cities are a novel service paradigm in which the VANET emergency prevention and response receive significant attention. Different kinds of routing protocols are developed for enabling safety and comfortable message transmission over smart VANETs. Among them, dissemination-based routing strategies are key techniques as they provide safety services like traffic accidents, collision warnings, and emergency vehicle warnings. Further, the multi-hop routing strategies are mainly used for entertainment applications.
