How to set DSN (Data Source Name) in windows7?

Description

Steps for Setting DSN in for Oracle database and MSAccess database in Windows 7 have been mentioned here. Driver used for Oracle database is Microsoft ODBC for Oracle and for MSAccess database is Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb). While executing java file with connectivity code the database pointed by the corresponding DSN will be referred for operation

  • DSN (Data Source Name) Setting in Windows 7 for Oracle Database
  • DSN Name: storage
Step 1
  • Double click the odbcad32.exe file located in the following folder

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
(or)
C:\Windows\system32\odbcad32.exe
(or)
Control panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Data Sources (ODBC)

Step 2
  • dBASE Files

Step 3
  • Click Add

  • Type DSN as storage
