  The beaconing methods assist the VANETs to maintain the ubiquitous connectivity among the moving vehicles. The vehicles are aware of the position, mobility, and acceleration of their neighboring vehicles using the beacon messages. Based on the beacon generation strategy, beaconing is classified into two types that are static and adaptive. The static models use fixed time intervals to generate beacons, whereas the adaptive models use dynamic beacon intervals.
