The mobility models reflect the vehicle is moving patterns on roads. Mobility models play a significant role in vehicular network simulations. Different types of mobility models are used for VANET simulation. They are mainly categorized into macroscopic and microscopic. The random waypoint mobility model is the most fundamental mobility model employed for VANET simulation. It lacks to consider the obstructions in vehicle movement, resulting in poor performance. Efficient and more realistic mobility models are needed for VANETs.
