With the rapidly increasing amount of Internet of Things (IoT)-based sensitive transactions day by day, forensics has become a significant solution for the growing cybercrimes on the distributed IoT applications. Hence, identifying and collecting the relevant evidence regarding the crime scene is crucial for IoT forensics. However, evidence identification and acquisition becomes difficult due to the distributed storage of the evidence on heterogeneous IoT devices. Thus, modeling the forensic evidence identification and acquisition tool for the IoT environment is significant in IoT forensics.
