Handover is the process of conveying the ongoing transmission among the vehicles and infrastructures. In VANET, the vehicles are moving at high speed, and frequent handover is required for successful data transmission. The high mobility and heterogeneous VANET environment create additional challenges in handover algorithm design. An efficient handover mechanism has high reliability with minimum delay.
