Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is an emerging technology that promotes wireless communication among vehicles and assists the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to improve road safety performance. The VANET based ITS offers congestion avoidance, intersection management, parking alerts, e-toll payments, emergency applications, and accident alerts. Thus, it efficiently enhances road safety and makes the journey comfortable for the passengers.
