Research Topics in IoT with Next Generation Wireless Systems

The next-generation wireless system is a 5G wireless cellular network. The 5G wireless system provides better speed when compared to other wireless technologies. The speed of 5G wireless systems is up to 3 GPS or 3000 Mbps in real-world IoT application scenarios. The speed is varied based on the used wireless technology. Various types of wireless technologies are Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, Zigbee, Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), Cellular (3G/4G/5G), and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
Selection of better wireless technology highly suitable for specific IoT applications is crucial to accomplish better Quality of Service (QoS), power consumption, effective bandwidth allocation, efficient network management, and security. Among them, 5G is better than other technologies. The reason is that 5G has the ability to connect 1 million devices within a kilometer area. The 5G system also assists the resource-restricted tiny IoT devices to operate from a month up to years by officering better connectivity with low resource consumption.
The 5G can transmit more massive IoT information than other wireless technologies. More than a million devices can connect with a single source, and the 5G speed is awesome compared to 4G. Moreover, 5G is a more speed and robust next-generation wireless system. The 6G wireless system is proliferating and offers better frequencies than the 5G system. It aims to minimize the latency in communication by offering better capacity. The main intention of the 6G wireless system is to accomplish micro-second latency communication and provide a lot of benefits to society.
