Research Paper on A Cybersecurity Review in IoT 5G Networks

Research Area:  Internet of Things

Abstract:

This review conducts a thorough investigation of recent documentation avail- able in major data repositories, enabling the comprehensive summarization, synthesis, and schematization of fundamental features, peculiarities, vulner- abilities, deficiencies, and attacks in 5G networks. Through this approach, it has been possible to develop a review that presents essential information at different levels and in a staged manner. This knowledge not only proves crucial for the study and understanding of wireless 5G technology but also provides the necessary foundation for the successful deployment of networks in various settings, environments, and applications. The review addresses not only the technical and practical aspects of 5G networks but also the inherent vulnerabilities in this technology, elucidating their causes and proposing possible strategies to mitigate, rectify, or safe- guard against these vulnerabilities. Furthermore, the review emphasizes its capability to facilitate the conceptual development of attacks, offering a pro- found understanding of the interaction among various elements and messages involved in such attacks, as well as the underlying reasons for their execution. This comprehensive analysis not only serves as a guide for cybersecurity professionals and experts seeking to understand and secure 5G networks but also provides a valuable resource for those exploring and comprehending the landscape of next-generation wireless technologies.
