Abstract:

Modern vehicle applications must be able to handle variable vehicle configurations, including the vehicle sales configuration, feature-as-a-service and subscription configurations, as well as user configuration preferences. How can the foundations for modern vehicle applications – service-oriented architecture and software-defined vehicle – be utilized to enable such variable configurations? This paper is introducing the “passenger welcome” case to discuss different implementation options.
